That's what DetroitGreeks.com essentially is comprised of. You may have read our opening paragraph on the homepage, and that is the essence of what DG wants to bring to all of you. This project is over 2 years in the making...many ups and downs and countless sleepless nights trying to figure out how to best present this portal to Detroit's Greek community to you.

"You" can be anyone... the casual internet browser, the lover of music, the game player, the person who wants to support Greek businesses as much as possible, the guy too stubborn to ask for directions to a church (we have links to maps of all the churches), the chef looking for a new way to make Avgolemono or Yemista (in our Community section), the picture viewer, the up-to-date event hound, the talker, the news junkie, and thousands of others...YOU are all welcome here!

We want encourage free, but respectful speech in our forums. We don't believe in only promoting businesses and events that pay us. We want to provide to you all the relevant information you will need to plan your day/week/month, etc. With a listing of hundreds of Greek businesses (that you can sort by businesses type, location, and name), you will be able to find what you need in a flash. With an up-to-date Event Calendar, you will be able to see all the Greek happenings. With our very own online Greek Radio station (WDGR), you will be able to enjoy the latest Greek Hits 24/7.
